In place of our monthly member mixer, Young AFCEA Bethesda and the Government Advisory Council (GAC) have joined forces to present our first ever "Mentor Mixer", hosted by Lauren Strayhorn and Jasmine Miller. This event will be an informal mentorship event where leaders from government and industry discuss topics like cybersecurity, the transition between government and industry, procurement, business development, workforce strategy, etc.
This event is designed to provide organic development, avoiding scripted questions or agendas so participants can have natural dialogue based on each person’s interests. Everyone is encouraged to attend, whether you’re actively seeking a mentor/mentee or not. There will be representation from industry and government from DHS, USCIS, CBP, DOT, FERC, and former NIST and DOI.
Join us at Pamplona in Arlington on Tuesday, May 14th from 5-8 pm to gain insights over food and drinks from successful professionals in today’s IT workforce. The event is free and requires no registration, so please feel free to spread the word to your network.
